9 year old youth hunt

I am wanting to take a 9 year old for his first deer tomorrow evening. If I read right he doesn't need hunters Ed until 10. Is that correct? How do I check his deer if he is successful?

He will need his social security number. If he is not already in the system, you will have to go to a physical checking station where they will create his TWRA profile when they check it in.
