Don't want to turn this into a competition with DA or I'll have more deer meat than I can handle :D
Hunted Williamsport draw hunt, a place I enjoy hunting and throw my usual buck standards out the window and break out the 30-30 to try and shoot something and enjoy the weekend.
Left the climber at home, didn't even want to fool with it. Knew the spot I'd be hunting and it's better on the ground in there.
The does busted me twice yesterday, ill be after them again in a couple weeks since I have another draw hunt then.
This spike came by me 3 times this weekend, all around 10 yards each time. Yesterday it had gotten too dark and he was against a cedar thicket so I could not aim, and barely even saw the antler.
Today he came by first thing this morning, but I decided to pass. Then he busted me and hopped away...
This evening he came back again, with no sign of any does around, so I watched him feed up to 10 yards and blew a hole in the heart
Gotta run, lots of butchering work to do
