do all 870 remington shotguns (that are not tacticool) have the nipples on the inside of the mag tube near the cap that have to be shaved down in order to put a tube extension on the gun?

You won't use the black end plug that normally holds the spring in and that also keep the tube cap tight.

It is a feature that stops the follower from compressing the magazine spring any farther..... that's why you have to drill them out when you put a mag. ext. on the gun.
The 11-87's are the same way.... except for the Law Enforcement models.
