8208 XBR

Anybody ever use this powder? If so anybody got a starting load for a 6BR with 105 Bergers?
Gonna give it a try since all the sporting goods stores I go to seem to be overly proud of their Varget
I know you can order Varget online but my budget at this present time doesn't allow me to purchase a 8lb jug at this time.

You`ll top out around 29.5 grains, its a fast powder, but can be a real eye opener.

When did you get a 6BR ?????

Tim with all the OT I worked this last year I was able to build 1 with the assistance of Moses, Miles and Darrel
I bought a new BAT Action, a used barrel n stock from Moses rings from Darrell and my Sponsor Miles has assisted me with other stuff
I shot it 2 weekends ago and did ok
I'm still fire forming the brass n getting my loads worked out
Come out to the next match n you can see it
It's a work in progress but hopefully it will b able to shoot better than its owner.

Those guys love to coach. Your in good hands. Best shooting 6BR`s I`ve been around like Varget or RL15, N540 can be good in cold weather.

You better hope for more OT, hanging out with that crew. :mrgreen:

I liked 8208 in a 308. My 6br prefers varget. Never worked up a load with 8208 with it
