After several weeks of hunting with minimal action, I was starting to become discouraged. That all changed on Dec. 6th as the woods seemed to come alive for around 30 minutes. We were hunting in a field below the house that we have been seeing plenty of does, hoping the boys would join the party. A spike entered the field around 4:10pm and run every doe in the field. I have never seen this many deer be harassed by a single buck. After several 2.5 year olds entered the field, I looked up and saw a wide and heavy 8 point enter the field at 4:40pm. As soon as he stood broadside I let the Sako .300 WSM sing. We believe the deer to be 4.5 years old and scored 120 inches with a 20 inch neck.
