Shot this deer yesterday evening just after the sun got below the trees. Shot him almost straight down between the shoulder blades, and didn't hit the spine. Went right between the lungs and blew his heart up, but didn't pass through. Only deer I have ever shot with my 30o6 ( 180 grain core loct ) that didn't pass through. Dropped dead in his tracks, not even a twitch. Not my biggest, but Im glad to get him.
