Anyone drive past the 8 point that was hit about where 100 and old hickory meet.Probably around a 125 to 135 8 point, he was still alive and one horn was laying in the middle of the road. I felt bad for him. Percy warner park produces some real monsters.

I've seen some amazing bucks in those small fields lining OHB right there. I wouldn't mind getting n there with a bow :D

Saw a 6 on Ensworth's soccer field right after that. They are definately moving in the mornings in West Nashville.

I wish I could hunt the tract across 100 from Edwin and Percy Warner. It's going to become part of the park with primitive hiking trails. But man it would be nice if you could hunt there.

I sat in traffic this morning on 100, saw this huge buck dead in the road. Yes one side of antlers were laying next to the deer. The green SUV's winshield had a huge hole in it.

The police were not there when I drove by. It was still kicking around. If I didnt think people would have trown a fit, I would have gotten out with my knife and put him down. Dont like to see them lifting their head up and moving all over.

It is over close to the railroad tracks near Bell Meade.

Catman, are you talking about where the abandoned looking house is? There are always deer in the yard.
yes, all the mature hardwoods behind it. and during the spring there are always turkeys strutting in the abandoned house yard. It's next to Vaughn's gap cave

who cares if they throw a fit, I'd be very tempted to do the ethical thing

It was tempting. My luck I'd get out there and that big buck would have Gored me or knocked the knife into me. ON the bright side I would not have had to go into work.

I live right there by Ensworth, someone must have picked him up because he wasn't there when I came home after lunch. I ride my bike 20 miles through the park about twice a week and I have yet to see a decent buck this whole year there. And I haven't seen a single chase yet.

About 3 weeks ago I saw 2 smaller 8 points fighting off the 100 end of old hickory right before you turn on vaughn rd. Same morning saw another one that was quite a bit bigger on Vaughn rd. Tuesday of this week Saw a really good 8 off Old Natchez crossing the rd in a residential area with his nose to the ground. They are definately in full rut with this cooler weather.
