Anybody got a 7mm Mauser rifle they want to sell or do some trading on, The gun must have a really good bore!
I'm also interested in other military surplus guns. I have the following that I would consider trading:

If you can find a 700 Classic in 7X57mm Better GET IT.IMO Assumeing the $ and condition is right.
 
I had a chance on a Classic in 8mm, but I waited too long. I have a great shooting 8mm Mauser in addition to (2) 6.5 Swedish Mausers I have picked up through the years. I really want a 7x57mm, I'll just haver to keep my eyes open and keep a little money stashed aside.
 
I see an occansional "Classic" in 8x57mm New in Boxes around Gun Shows and on the Auction Sites.I would just about bet ones local gunshop coulld still find one at there suppliers/wholesalers. Same for a few other late editions of the Classic.

I never have seen one in the 257 Rob,7x57 250/3000 and only one in the 6.5 sweede.

A couple of others you might want to keep and eye for if your wanting a 7X57 and ain't picky on the brand. Win 70 XTR Featherweight.Ruger 77's they dropped it couple years ago so you still might find a Mark 2 around somewhere.At one time Ruger also made the full stocked RSI in it before the change to the Mark 2.Kicking myself for not getting one when I had the chance.
 
Good info, I will follow up on these. I also have another idea.
I have a excellent shape Remington 700 ADL in 270win that may transform into a 7x57. I pretty sure I can just have it re-barreled to 7x57. The action will fit as well as the bolt and magazine, it should be a barrel only swap. I will have to crunch the numbers and make a decision. Does anybody see any problems with my suggestion. The plan would be to use a smooth barrel without sights in the factory contour. I would prefer to find a factory 7x57 in a Remington 700. CZ makes a 7x57 in their CZ550 line, but I want one made in the USA if possible. Keep the jobs in the USA!!!
