I am in the process of working up a good load for a model 7 youth 7mm-08. I am going to use the IMR4350 with Winchester cases. What primers and bullet suggestions do you have.
I'd highly suggest you try AA 5744 for reduced loads. We were flinging the 140's at 2200 fps last year and still getting under 1 MOA groups for my 6 y/o. Very little recoil, and a little quieter as well.
Don't have the actual charge in front of me, but you can find the loads on the net.
Go with 120 gr bullets, and use the starting load of IMR 4350. If you want to reduce loads more than that, use H4895; you can reduce that to as much as 60% of the published max, and still get good ignition. Hodgdon's website has the details; search for Reduced loads.
Noticed it is a youth model. Are you wanting a reduced load or full power load. I have used the 120gr sierra pro hunter for my reduced loads of H4895 with great results.
