7mm-08 ballistics question (sighting in)

Got to sight in my new rifle but may only have a 50yd range at the moment. I'm shooting 139g sst superformance, If I want it 1" high at 100 what should 50 look like? I assumed its much different then a 308 so I was thinking it should be around .5 high at 50.

It will ultimately depend on your scope height above the bore but assuming it's 1.5", you need to be about 1/4" high at 50 to be 1" high at 100. That gives you a zero of about 175 yrds.

PM me your email and I'll send you a ballistics chart for that load. Be even more precise if you measure your scope height above the bore centerline and give that to me as well.
