Approximately 72 hours from now I should be looking at this.
I am PUMPED.
Haven't been but one time this year and haven't put my boat in the water since the first week of June.
Gonna be a good time for sure.

Then, hopefully I will either catch or watch woodyard catch one of these.

Looks like the water may be about ideal if they continue as they are now running it. I just hope it is cleared enough at Calico from the big jump it took with the hurricane rain event last Mon-Tues.

so how's the fishing?
It was awesome!
Weather was perfect!
Water was a little dingy from the past rain but not terrible
We boated 126 over three days and lost half that many at the boat lol

I will post some pictures up later
Just a normal trip for us.
Woodyard knows that river as good as anyone that has ever been on it.
Ate pretty good too lol

Did have one heartbreaker
Had a huge rainbow absolutely crush my lure and apparently I had a nick in my line or something
Snapped it immediately and never even pulled any drag.

Great great trip !

My BIL goes out there every year chasing big browns. I never have heard him talk much about the rainbows though. Other than he said there was a buncb of them. He stays in some state park on the river and said you can catch rainbows by the numbers there off the bank but nothing the size of the browns they catch.
