Just got in from my 6th hunt of the year and I STILL have yet to see a deer from the stand.This is driving me nuts..Im hunting my best bow stands,where in the past I have always seen deer,and they just ain't moving.Left my summit on the bottom of the tree I hunted tonight,gonna be back at it 0 dark thirty in the AM..I just don't understand where the deer are.The acorns are hit or miss.It's far from being marbles on the ground like last year.And of the oaks that do have them,aren't really dropping yet..If I don't see any in the AM im sure you will hear about it..LOL

I know how you feel. Your either seeing sevetal or none at all, depending on location this time of year. Luckily, I have seen 12 on 3 hunts so far
 
Well mark me down for hunt #7 and not seeing any deer..Im not going back until saturday morning.This is getting frustrating.
 
WOW,that sucks,I saw 12 at least tues afternoon.One thought,leaving that Summit in there may be hurting you.Whatever smell is on it,is right on the ground,just a thought.

Why don't you rub it in..LOL I thought about the scent on the stand also,but i've done it alot over the years,and never have seemed to hurt my odds..
 
Cec, are you hunting near any fields? Despite there being sufficient mast the deer are still using fields and plots regularly from my observations in our area.
