Same thing for us in Hardin county. I haven't been to my place in Morris Chapel since early bow season. My place in Olive Hill hasnt picked up yet. There was a 4.5+ yr old 8 point killed last weekend and his tarsals were soaked and he stunk but he was the only deer seen that morning by my buddy who killed him. My trail cams are showing does with fawns still feeding together and even getting bucks in the same plots with does and just feeding. The bucks that have been seen have been singles and the does are running in groups. We typically see it break wide open the week of thanksgiving and the week after.

Same around Lexington. Seeing lots, but freezer is already full of sweet meat... So have let about thirty walk this week with no bucks in sight... Much less chasing or anything like.

You seeing any signs of the rut coming on Muddy? It's still a little early for your part of Hardin isn't it?

I have seen no signs of it!

I saw chasing all week in southern Perry Co. Mainly alot of 2.5 year olds. Only saw one group of does without bucks tailing. Just last week there was nothing. Its starting to pick up.
