I need to remember my digital camera more often.
Had this beautiful yearling 6 point come in and hang out within 5 yards of my stand for about 20 minutes Sunday morning.

That's not 50 feet, I know what 50 ft looks like.... Ruger if you get in the habit of carrying a camera, you won't regret it.

He's closer to 18-20 feet at best. A lot of people misjudge how high up they actually are, unless you're using 20 foot ladder or climbing sticks, then you have a good idea obviously. I carry a 30 foot pull rope to help me judge my height, in this picture I'm just over 30 feet up, can you see the deer right below me? No ladders or steps here, just climbing spikes and a tree saddle.
