5.56x45 ammo

can i shoot 5.56x45 ammo out of my AR that is chambered for 5.56?The reason i ask is because my AR doesn't say it is chambed for the 5.56x45 just 5.56.Is it the same ammo or is it different.

It is the same. The 5.56 is the caliber while the X45 is what case it is based on which is the .223 case.

There is a difference between 223 rem and the 5.56mm. Not much but on paper they are a little different.
