Passed on several young bucks and mommas with fawns, killed a doe at 47 yards, she piled up in 30 yards. Although the shot was 16 yards shy of my furthest, I am still proud of it!
 
Heck yeah man. Congrats and good shooting.

I remember a boy i know got on here about 8yrs ago and had shot a deer at 62yds and noone believed him. He took alot of heat over it.

Now, with practice and the way bows are made now it can be done easily. With lots of practice.
 
I like the "further" shots, I've killed many deer at 40-63 yards and never had one run more than 30-40 yards, I enjoy the chip shots they just aren't as much fun for me.
 
Congrats! I don't understand the thinking of some folks either. Every year bow companies produce what the hunters are asking for: quieter, faster, more accurate bows. Bows today are the quietest they've ever been...the fastest they've ever been, stay in tune longer than they ever have which makes them more accurate...and yet people still have a hissy if they see somebody shot one past 20 yards at a deer. Go figure.

Great shot, I bought a new bow last year and first time in woods shot a good 7 pointer at 45 yards. Talking about having all the confidence in the world in a bow now!
