.45 loads shooting Today.

I shot a few .45 loads Today and was surprised with the velocity. At 15 feet, I got an average of 1,050 fps. 230 gr. Lee TC cast , with 10.5 gr. AA7. Shot from 5" 1911. I shot some awhile back that did average 940 fps, with 10.0 gr. AA7, and same bullet. Seems like a substantial jump.

That's pretty stout for. Hodgdon shows getting around 110fps with 1 grain of AA 7. Maybe something else has upped your pressure some.

The brass looks fine. I shot 7 or 8 rounds. and I looked at some data that was submitted online, and a 230 gr. round nose cast did close to that.

I don't know what the pressure would be. I've never used a psi calculator before. I wouldn't think it would be really bad though.
