Just picked up a .45 cal Thompson sidelock this weekend and wondering if anyone has some loads, patched round ball, and/orbuffalo bullets they like so i can have an idea of where i might start. Not messed with the .45 just the .50 and .54.

Thompson Center still has the old manuals with load data available on their website.
Thanks. I couldn't find my old manuals and been using the same load for 20+ years.

I've got a TC .45 cal perc rifle it likes 60 grns Goex fffg spit patch pillow ticking. and a .440 roundball. It shoots a tight group with 60 to 70 grns anymore and it gets flyers. My .50 cal TC will shoot good groups from 60 to 80 grns,it don't seem to matter.
