I trying to find what a fair selling price would be for several 45-70 Sharps and Springfield trap door models. These are for a friend who passed away and the family is moving. Any help would be appreciated. Just pm me.
Depends on manufacturer and model. Trapdoors can run anywhere from $800 to $1500 and sharps can run from $1200 on up. Dakota arms makes sharpes that go for as much as $10,000.
Thanks, we have 3 Sharps Quigley type one Uberti, one Cimmeron, and one Armi. A 1885 Browning High wall, an H&R Springfield trapdoor and a Trapdoor spinger carbine not sure of the mfg. They were about to let a guy walk off with all of them for a grand. I guess I won't be on his Christmas card list. lol
The H&R will bring considerably less money than an equivalent condition Springfield . I would say @$750 would be top dollar for an H&R, and if I were in the market a $750 H&R reproduction should have the box and papers (manual, etc) and be 99% or better.
