CVA Scout V2 45/70 with 2-7x33 Leupold Freedom got it done. I got the rifle Wednesday, sighted it in Friday. Sub MOA at 100 yards with 325 grain Hornady Leverevolution. Hit this doe at 50 yards and complete pass through half inch entry 1" exit. She tried to run off but the double lung took her down in 30 yards. My new favorite rifle no doubt.

The three shots on the triangle are the group. The top hole was from the previous group before I adjusted scope. Key holed one. 100 yards

Awesome... I'm considering one of these in 450 bushmaster. How loud is it with that break??

Not bad at all. On the range with hearing protection no problem. This morning I shot my doe from a box blind. Left ear rang for maybe a few seconds but nothing worse than a .300 Win. The brake definitely helps with the recoil. I've got some Buffalo Bore full pressure magnum rounds generating 3,700 lbs KE at the muzzle and the recoil was fine if you're not recoil sensitive.

Congrats. I have always liked a 45-70 and have one in a Encore and a Hand I rifle. That CVA Scout is Sharpe.Think I may have to look into getting one of those.
