40mm objective and low mounts?

Hey guys, got a model 7 223 for the kids and I have a good 3-9x40 sitting in the safe. Do you think I will have problems mounting it on low rings, I'm ordering Leupold weaver style steel bases. I've never mounted anything over 36mm.

Any thoughts or experiences?

They should be fine.

However some will depend on the "mount" height as well.Don't know about the Leupold "Weaver Type" but I have had to use med rings on 40 mm OBJ scopes with Weaver bases and rings in the past.
