So say TCU drops Saturdays game. could UT find themselves in the 3 spot? If UT wins out and looks impressive. With tOSU and Michigan game the last week of the season.

UT could very well be playing the winner of that game in the playoffs. And Oregon would have a rematch with UGA.

What happens if #7 LSU wins out, beats UGA in the SEC chip? Does LSU become the first 2 loss team in the playoffs over a 11-1 UT? A team UT beat by 30?

Heck yes I'd take that. Have to say a big piece of me wanted to play Clemson and beat them senseless. But, I will take a rematch with Georgia.
 
His projections have Kansas Playing Missouri in the Liberty bowl. I would definitely have to go watch that!
 
GA has the spin machine going with how they beat UT and how they coasted in the 2nd half and the score would have been much worse. I really believe they dont want to face the Vols again on a neutral field as the outcome just might be different. They also dont want the spotlight on UT as it will make winning the East harder in the years to come.

If you don't believe that UGA went ultra-conservative run-heavy on offense in the second half when the rain started and the lead was big, then you were watching a different game than I was or just weren't paying attention. It actually frustrated me as a fan me a little bit, but I also understood. The score easily could have been more lopsided. No spin needed.

I won't deny that UGA should be nervous about playing UT a second time on a neutral field. Heck, I was nervous about UGA playing UT at Sanford the first time. Beating any team twice in one season is tough, no matter who they are, and UT is a quality team. If UGA plays UT again then the game plan will have to be redrawn for that time and place, no doubt. The outcome COULD be different. Or not.

Next year is next year. Both teams will be different. I'm not looking that far ahead yet. UT definitely has gotten better, and kudos to Huepel (again) for the improvement that he's made.

I 100% agree on the fact the score could of and should have been worse. The thing i dont understand is the media spin on things. On monday they said all is good w/the Vols then last night the same people were pumping Oregon and LSU. My biggest thought is they dont like bama being down like they are this year and they (media--ESPiN) will try to make everyone else around them look worse than they really are. They like to ride that Saban jockstrap and the fact that the best teams in the SEC are in the east is killing them. I hope both teams win out and get another chance in the CFP.

Media hype is media hype. Last week every hot take was calling for UT to beat, or even dominate UGA. It's all about clicks and shares. Calling for the Bama dynasty to be dead is good for clicks. Hyping up Bama is good for clicks. Giving other fanbases love is good for clicks. The vast majority of sports has nothing to do with what happens on the field
 
Anybody that claims that playing Georgia in the Peach Bowl is a "neutral site" is smoking dope.
Just like Georgia claiming a "neutral site" or "road win" against Oregon. Athens is 72 miles from Atlanta and the majority of the Georgia fanbase is within 30 minutes of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Oregon had to travel 2500 miles.

EXCEPT the tickets will be split, and I guarantee that if TN were to get there, they will sell their allotment and then some.

The Oregon game has no bearing, as it isn't an apples to apples comparison.
