me and Daddy were shooting testing a few new loads on 6-7 different rifles,,
the topic of barrel life came up,,he said that Sako claims 5500-6000 rounds of accurate barrel life,,I have a feeling mine will last 20 years,,6,000 rounds of 338 LM ammo would cost 42,000 dollars in factory ammo and somewhere over 7,000 $$ dollars in precision handloads,,
when I get mine fine tuned and set up like I want it I am gonna have the entire gun,/scope,bipod and all done in some kind of camo dip procass,,and try and limit myself to 3-4 shots a week to keep in tune with the rifle,,and maybe a 50 round session about once a month,,
shooting the CZ 452 22LR at 100 yards and the CZ 527 223 at 500-600 yards really helps me keep my mechanics and follow through on par making the 1000-1500 yard shots with the 338 a lot more easier to make,,
