Using CAVIM cases full lenghth sized. Every one i shot the bolt was hard to lift, i am no where near max loads, took those cases and neck sized them and they are still hard to close the bolt on. Took some of those cases and full length sized. They were very hard to size in the press, but after that they chambered fine. Just got this gun so I don't know if it is the gun or the brass. Any guesses??
 
Check your Case lenght and Sizer Set Up may not be resizeing them enough with the neck sizer as you apparentaly found out by FL sizeing,which is why I do FL with all of mine.

Also check your COAL.

Each gun is different and you don't have to be near max to have high pressure signs,which that is one of. If there was another such as flat primers I would back things off and try again.

Seeing as they chamber easily after FL sizeing check everything above and the double check the load,try a couple and see if your of mind to,but use your own judgement.
 
Cavim is military brass and much thicker in construction than commercial cases. The thickness of military brass reduces the internal capacity of the case thus increasing pressure substantially even with moderate loads developed using commercial cases. Using Lake City brass for my .308 max load at 2750fps for the 168gr Sierra Match King is 41.2 grains of IMR 4064...to get the same velocity from commercial Winchester cases I have to increase the powder charge to 43.7 grains. Most reloading guru's that I know say to reduce the STARTING charge by ten percent and work up from there when using thicker military cases. Hope this helps.
 
I have had the same problem with some 243 rounds I loaded. I'm shooting them from a bolt gun and a pump gun. In each case they are either hard to close the bolt or to eject the shell. More noticable in the pump than the bolt. They are very accurate when i do shoot them.

You may wish to keep seprate cases for each rifle,not a bad ideal to do if one can and one I did,an do a good bit, for that reason. Even with FL resizeing which should size them down if all is right with there set up,sometimes they won't for another rifle.As there are differences in chambers,a minor re-adjust usally fixes things though.

Also you might want a Small Base Sizer for the Pump.
