I am fixing to start loading for a newly acquired 300 wsm. Anyone have a good load using 150's?

I was thinking RL-17 or H-4350, but I have most anything else too.

Thanks in advance-

Those will work also - I'm not set on 150's (just have more 150s than anything else).

Thanks Rick-

168 gr Barnes Tipped TSX, 57.7 grains of Varget, CCI LRM primer, Winchester brass. This load is .3 under max and I'm getting 3100+ fps with no pressure. Max load of 58 grains I got 3250 fps and pressure signs. Seating the bullet deeper, down to the beginning of the last visible ring, gave the best groups.

165 gr Hornady IB, 66.5 grains of H4350, CCI LRM primer, Winchester brass. Getting 3100+ fps with no pressure. This is my main hunting load.

If you like the light Barnes Bullets, 130 grain Tipped TSX, 66.0 grains of Varget, CCI LRM primer, Winchester brass. 3500+ fps and no pressure signs. Again, seating the bullet deeper got better groups.

This summer I plan on trying the RL17 in all of my WSM's. Let me know what your results are if you load some up with RL17.

IMR-4064 at around 62 grs has worked very well in all three I have tried it in with 150gr bullets.

H-414 ain't bad either but the load I used has since been reduced in the manuals, have't tried the sister W-760 yet at that load which winchester listed at the time.

Thanks guys.

I'll give some of these a go.

I'll also let you know how the RL-17 does.

Going to start with RL-17.

Loaded from 3 each 67-70.5 in .5 increments.

I want to load up some Norma 180gr Oryx myself for elk loads. Wonder if anyone's had any experience with Norma bullets.
