300 H&H

Just picked up a pre 64 Winchester model 70 in 300 H&H. I have got an era correct scope(Bausch & Lomb) to top it off and just looking for any advice on factory ammo that anyone might have first hand experience using. Not a whole lot of options available.

well if you are 5'8" and 150lbs be prepared to cuss yourself and whatever you do, don't shoot it from the prone position
seriously it thumps on both ends and i sold mine about 25 years ago
for some reason every body told me back then to only use domestic loads and to especially stay away from the south african stuff
i don't remember the reason for it but i did as i was told
