So I posted several weeks ago about problems I had getting the Hornady 190 grain sub-x to function properly in a 300 Blackout pistol. I had failed to cycle and lock back and the powders I had loaded. I pulled all those bullets and tried three other powders. I reloaded some with h4198, some with IMR 4198 and some with cfe-blk. All were very accurate at the close range I intend for this pistol. Both 4198s would cycle but not always lock back. Sometimes would sometimes wouldn't. I couldn't have that. The cfe-blk however functioned perfectly and was very accurate. 12.3 grains slightly compressed is what I've settled on. I'm not sure why I really need this other than maybe home defense or an shtf scenario. It's a fun little gun to shoot though.

That fun to shoot line is all that matters. My oldest son came by the other day with an AR pistol in the 338 Arc and it's pretty fun also. Lol

This sounds more like a rifle tuning issue vs. a powder or bullet issue. Have you tried different recoil springs, buffer weights, adjustable gas block?
