30-06 shooters?

What grain do you guys find to be more accurate out of your rifles 150,165, or 180? Thanks

168gr seems to be the sweet spot in mine.

I wouldn't know anything other than the 150 gr NAB's and of course the factory corlokts in 150 gr as well. My b/a likes them well enough, but my Dad always shot 180 gr from his semi auto mod 742 with good results, so I feed it the same diet when I take it out.

My Browning A-Bolt does extremely well with 150's.

I have a 300 WinMag Winchester Model 70 that will not shoot 180's. I went down to 150's in order to get accuracy.

150's in mine, my brothers is super accurate with my reloads of 150 bt. @300 yrds.

My Tikka shoots 165 grain accubonds the best. My Savage shoots 180 gr Barnes ttsx the best. My Remington 721 shoots 150 grain core lokts to 1 inch at 100 yards, my Remington 700 shoots 165 grain accubonds the best but also shoots 180 grain accubonds really well and my Remington 760 really likes 165 grain core lokts.

Essentially, try them and figure out which one it likes. I would start with 165's and see how they do.

The most accurate out of mine so far has been the Nosler Ballistic Tip, 150 grain.

Nothing in either of mine lol. My Dad passed a long time ago and I have his 742 Woodsmaster that my Mom and I gave him for a birthday present in 1982. It has a bad tendency to jam so better make the first one count and it has about an inch of trigger travel. Many years later my Mom remarried and my Step-Dad gave me a Pre-64 Model 70 Featherweight and it won't shoot either lol. They both shoot about 2-3" at 100 yards but I wouldn't sell either one of them.

I thought about rebarreling the Pre-64 because I wouldn't sell it anyway and at least I could use it confidently.

I don't have a 30-06 but my dad shoots 150 gr core-locts out of his. Never had a problem to have to try and change.
