About 8:20 I had 2 does and a button buck walking straight to me. I just let them keep coming to see if a buck might be following. This doe was in the lead. She walked right past me at about 5 yards. I focused on the next one which was a button buck. He came to the bottom of my stand and was sniffing around the ladder. At this point the third doe was at 12 yards and I decided to shoot her.
As I pulled the bowtech tomkat back the lead doe must have heard or thought she saw something and blew. The other two ran back the way they came about 40 yards. I was at full draw at this point and nothing to shoot. But the lead doe was trying to sneak back to the other two. She got a little close (35 yds) and I let the bowtech eat. Perfect double lung shot. She ran about 50 yds and collapsed.
Guess I'm down to one buck and one doe tag left.
