Heard 3 birds gobbling a little bit at daylight. Made the long trek to them and proceeded to call them in. 3 jakes. They got a pass. Just started hunting my way through my lease. About 9 I hear a bird gobble 1 time to the south. Takes me about 30 minutes to get where I think he was. I notice some fresh gobbler tracks and lots fresh scratching in the pines. I cut and yelped real hard on the night and hale mouth call and sit down and take out phone to check tndeer. I hear a hen cluck and spot get angling by me on my right side with 2 big black birds walking behind not strutting. I quickly flip gun around to shoot left handed. The first gobbler comes in opening and I see beard and put the red circle on his head and let him have it. 16 lb 4 oz. 1 inch Spurs. 10 1/2 beard and a 7 1/4 beard. 1st double beard ever. Good day for not much gobbling. Also found 6 eggs either hatched or raided by something.
