I was thinking 4.5 too. Most years I dont see older bucks (3.5+) until late October. This is the earliest Ive had a mature deer show up on my small parcel. I've always had standing corn as my plot but went to forage oats, wheat and raddishes this year. Wondering if thats why Im seeing older bucks earlier. Either way, Im excited to see a good one already.

Maybe, but it will be easier to tell once he puts on mass/weight for the rut. I would guess 3 max, but could be a great 2 year old????

I go back and forth on 3.5 to 4.5. Here is another angle. When I see this angle, I think 4.5. He is a good size (body) deer for my county (Wilson). If I wind up taking him I will try to age by jawbone.
