Looking for suggestions for a second western hunt. The brother from another mother and I did the San Juan's back in October for elk (unsuccessfully if you define success by kills) and had a blast. Wanting to enter the draws this year to gain points, but wont be hunting out west in 2019 since both our wives are expecting. If you had 2 years to plan/ get a couple points, what would you do? Interested in elk, mule deer, pronghorn, and just about everything else. Thoughts?

If you want to bring home meat and horns, an antelope hunt is almost as close to a sure thing as there is. Buy points this year, then enter the "special draw" in WY next year and you should be able to draw a decent unit. Then pick up a couple doe tags for like $25 per tag and you'll be golden. It's also a fun hunt because they move all day.
