2nd Rut

Any idea when the 2nd Rut will be here ? Got a 3 -day hunt with my oldest son starting the 21st of December! Thanks

Usually around the second week of December where I am, north of Jackson. See doe fawns often coming in a week or two later.

Usually 28 days after the first rut, things start picking up again for the second rut

In Cumberland County I've found there's seldom a pronounced first, or second rut. And, rubs, scrapes don't start showing up until late Nov. The biggest buck taken on my property was the weekend after Thanksgiving, and he was dogging a doe hard. And, I found a big, fresh scrape in Feb. So, I just hunt when I can.
