anybody got a load for a 24 inch Win M70 Classic Featherweight.

would like 3,000 fps with accuracy

RL22, Win780, Magpro.

On Alliants website, 60 grains of RL17 is a Max load and is over 3000 fps.

I love RL17. Meters well and shoots well. I have found that I get more fps with no pressure signs also.

If you are looking for Berger load data give them a call. They have awesome service and will email you Excel spreadsheets of their data for whatever caliber you want. Berger makes wicked bullets and I just got a few more load data for certain calibers a few weeks ago. They are coming out with their own load data book very soon.

yeah,,I actually talked to Walt himself on the phone in the late 90`s about a 308 with the 190 VLD,,
I just figured some on here had a load worked up..

I see some loads elsewhere claiming close to 3200 fps with 150`s,,IDK about that but if it will do 3200 with a BC of .530,,it would shoot neck and neck with the 300 RUM 200 gr loads with 35-40 grs less powder and 50 grs less bullet.

3200 sounds a little warm with 150s, but 3100 is possible. I have only loaded 130 gr bullets out of my 270 WSM, but get 3360, and have gotten 3400 with them. Also check out the BC of the Hornady 150 gr SST/Interbond. I believe they are .525, and you can find the SST cheap.
