I played with my seating depth the other day on my remaining shells, and got where I wanted them.

I got up a little later than I wanted this morning due to a couple long 12 hour shifts. I had planned on messing with my rifle instead of hunting due to the temps. And I finally got it finished.


I haven't measured the group but who cares? It can't get a whole lot better, it's probably more accurate than I am anyway. I let the barrel cool 2 minutes between shots and this is the 4th, 5th, and 6th shot. And with that my hunting load is complete.

260 rem.
Lapua brass (bought on sale at $80/100)
H4350
120 gr. Sierra prohunter
Cci 200

Yea I wanted the zeiss but I just couldn't make it feasible lol

I had never owned dnz until I got the set off of you for the m.l., but that's the only mounts I will purchase from now on.

On a side note I adjusted the scope based on my first load and that's where it ended up with the max load so I'm not touching it.
 
Yeah, shooting real good. You don't see to many people shooting a .260 any more but, its a awesome caliber.
 
As far as I am concerned the 260 is one of the most over looked cartages there is.
I have one in a Remington 700 and a Savage Stalker.
 
Good shooting and a great group. I would say you are good to go.
My Mdl. 7 .260 loves IMR 4350 under a 129 gr Hornady SST.
It is accurate and a deer killing machine.
 
the 6.5mm line of bullets are the perfect weight,SD,and BC to shoot the flattest,hold in the wind the best and hit the hardest with minimum recoil,,

I have shot an extreme amount of 25-06 ammo,,enough to melt 3 barrels on my first Rem 700 rifle that I still own,,in the real world the 260 will do anything the 25-06 will and actually more,,.257 cal bullets suck

on the upper end loaded with 130-140 gr bullets the 260 will run right with a 270 Win,,
