Got a couple guns for sale and IF I sell them I MIGHT pick me up a Super X 3.

Can you really tell any difference between the 26 & 28 inch barrels?
I used a 24" last year and really love the "swing" of it but thought about going up to a 26.
Never really considered a 28, but thought I would ask.

28 swings better for me, but I am a tall man. The longer barrel extends range a bit from what I understand. Some of the old goose guns had 30 and 32 inch barrels. I'd try mounting and swinging a 26 and 28 inch just to see which feels better to you. Final Flight there between UC and Martin ought to have one in each length.

I will try them both Saturday after we get two top 5 picks at gooch. :D

I have always been told that it takes 18" of barrel to burn your powder and all the pattern is done by just the choke.
I can see the 28 being a bit much for me since I have the arm length of a 9 year old. :D

Your fellow blind hunters will appreciate your shotgun having a minimum length barrel of 26" with 28" being tolerated even more. If you'll be using it as an "all around" shotgun I'd recommend a 26" barrel. And good luck on the draw at Gooch Saturday. I'll be there as well.

28's on my hunting guns but 30's on my skeet guns. Next hunting gun I buy will have a 30". For me, they just handle and swing better than a short barrel.

Thought about it on the way to the store yesterday and remembered back when I dove hunted alot I was pretty good at killing them.
Multiple 20+ kills per box.
Then I thought about when I dove hunted in recent years with a 24" and how I was lucky to get 10 or 15 kills per box.
Then I thought about the gun I used to use.
Cheap, OLD Winchester pump with a 30" barrel and win-chokes.

Hmmmm DUH....

I went with the 28" and I think I am gonna really like it.

What gun did you get?

Super X3, 3 1/2" Realtree Max5 camo.
28" barrel.

I got my son one for Christmas last year and really liked it so I decided to do some swappin around and get me one.
Told him mine was better because of the camo. His is bottomland. :D

I'm 5'10 and have always liked a 26 more then the 28. Got a 26" a5 on the way actually.

Me too. I've got a 26" A5 and a 28" Maxus. I'm a better shot with the 26" barrel.
