What about these they any good seen one at Gandermountain i liked. Thought about a good yote gun and could it be used on deer. Whats yalls thoughts

I guess you mean a 25WSSM, I had one for a while, like the cartridge, just did not like the rifle because it was a Winnie. I would still like to have one in a Abolt. Matter of fact theres one on the Campfire right now for 550.

The ballistics of the .25 WSSM are equal to ballistics of the .25-'06 cartridges pretty much, with 14 percent less powder and less perceived recoil, all in a shorter action rifle. I liked the short action part the best. I would sure like to have one in a Abolt one day.

Yep and since I have a couple of 25-06's already and the price of ammo I went with the .243 wssm and could not be happier. I pay around $15 for 100 ct of brass,The .25 is double. Dang Steve I love my Winny.steven stone said:

It depends on which Winchester he had. Some of the cheap model felt about like a Savage. Get a Classic and you would fall in love!
