I had over 250 204 Hornady cases that I shot in my Encore last year. I deprimed, resized full length die, and cleaned and will not fit my new barrel in my bolt gun. Now have to start with new case and keep seperate from my encore loads.

If you full length sized them, they should fit in any gun of same caliber. Either your dies were not adjusted properly or either your dies or chamber are out of spec.

Sounds like you didn't bump the necks back enough.

I thought the same thing all listed above and even resized but it will not work. This is a test barrel given to me. Pete said it was built with tighter specs and I have to load with new brass and then reload using brass shot from this barrel only. So we are going to try this and see what happens.

I have ran into this numerous times,,mainly trying to use brass from an auto or break action rifle,,in a bolt rifle,,I have seen it twice from bolt rifles,,in 7mmRM and 270 Win,,

if they make a small base die for the 204 AR platform may fix your problem also.

I think Redding makes a shellholder that lets you bump the shoulder back farther than you can with your dies adjusted so tight that the shellholder touches the die in the FL station,,
