Just picked up a new (to me) rifle in 25 wssm. Does anyone have a favorite load for deer? I'm kind of partial to the Speer Grand slam. Looks like it's available in 120g. Would like to use h4350, but also have h4831sc, hybrid 100v, reloder 19,22, and 26. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
 
Good Luck... finding data for what you want to try in it.. might want to call Speer n the powder combines. if cant find data on ..
Good round wish they would bring em back..I didnt think to much of em at the time.. Until I played with one a wee bit..

Will check with a friend who has one n see if he has a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestions. I kind of changed direction a little. Ordered some 100g Speer hot-cores. I found data at Speer and hodgden. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks again.

Supposedly,within about 100fps. I'm not sure exactly. I've read somewhere between a 257 Bob and the 25-06. I believe a Max load of h4350 shows around 3200fps with the hot core. But, I know nothing about it other than what I've read.

The load I use on by buddy's Browning 25 WSSM is
46 gr of w760 max
Federal 215 large mag primers
100 gr nosler ballistic tip
seated just of lands
Shoots lights out and will kill deer with no problem. This is a max load in this gun, so start with a lighter load and work up. 47 grain started cratering primer hole.
 
I picked up some more components. If this thing falls between a Bob and an 06, I will probably stay on the conservative side of the loads. Picked up a couple hundred 117g Hornady round nose..the Bob shooters seem to really like them. Hopefully I will find a node somewhere in the middle. I don't like maxing my equipment, and deer ain't really that hard to kill anyway. So, does anyone have a starting point for h4350?
 
Finally remembered to get with my friend..
They settled on IMR 4350 at 43grs Nosler 120 Partition
