Yes, I have a 7mm stw and think it's the same case necked to 25cal . It should be smoking fast !
Check out ( Long range hunting forum ) plenty of knowledgeable gun talk over there . Plus they talk about more odd and wildcat calibers than one could imagine .

a touch too overbore for my tastes, but def the fastet quarterbore out there. I'd lean more toward a 25-06AI personally, as brass will be cheaper and barrel life will be considerably longer

Naw it wouldn't be, the 257 Scramjet (Lazzeroni) already holds that distinction and honestly it's to overbore for THAT MUCH case capacity. (The Scramjet is no faster than the 30cal Warbird nor the 7mm Firebird yet shares the same case, the only advantage is lower felt recoil and driving the heaviest 25 bullets at max speed) There's only so much heat and flash you can stuff through a hole in a given amount of time. The 257Wby and 257WSM can be loaded too duplicate what you can realistically do with the 25STW (essentially the same thing as the 25-300Wby).

For fartsNgiggles sure it would be fun, but honestly you can do essentially the same if you already load for a 257Wby or 257WSM!

The Lazzeroni scramjet is rated at 3750 fps on their website with the 100 grain bullet out of a 27 inch barell. The 257/7STW....or Hot Tamale...whichever you decide to call it rockets out the 100 grain bullet at over 4000 fps with just a 26 inch barrel.

Yeah, I heard of it and its a rocket at about 4,000 fps with a 100 gr. bullet. I would prefer 115-120 gr. though. With a good bullet that will expand and hold together it should kill like lightning.
