help recomend ammo for my 243 wssm I can get 55gr and 95gr silver ballistic tips and the 100gr wichester x (grey box) just looking for a deer load it came with a box of 95gr ballistic tips. I only got a couple of those left after a range session but I was wondering if one from Reeds would be better than the winchester factory loads I can get the 55 gr locally for cheap would they be enough for deer? any input would be appericiated thanks

i kinda was thinking the same thing did you happen to open the link to Reeds and is there one you would recomend?

any of the 95 or 100 gr loads,,I loaded the 95 gr NBT much faster than that with a 26 inch 6MM Rem and never had a bullet failure, and they are the most accurate bullet you will find from a factory loaded hunting bullet.

I used nearly 50 grs RL22 and it would get close to 3250 fps and I could shoot one shot on a blank page and the sight of the bullet hole with the 24 XBR Leupold and make one little hole,,

near 5,000 rounds through that barrel and I traded it for a 204,,one rifle I wore out that I wish now I would have kept and rebarreled.

I dont get the market for the 243 WSSM,no faster than those loads are rated???

i got it realy cheap its a great shooter supprised me even with the cheap bushnell banner 3x9 x50 it will put 5 holes under a nickel at a hundred with bags and a table shooting the 95 gr ballistcs atleast i thought it was good

if they would have made the 257 and a 264 on the WSM case would have been a real smoker,,but the WSSM line is not any faster than the 6mm Rem,

but if it shoots really well and you like it by all means it is a great round as is the 6mm Rem.
