Ran the 80 TTSX thru today:

Win brass, WLR primer, COAL = 2.725", 55 deg F, no wind

My barrel seems to be slow by 50fps. Please note my COAL and know that you need to work up-

Avg (3shots each):

41.5=3000
42.0=3050
42.5=3100
43.0=3135
43.5=3160
44.0=3258
44.5=3325
45.0=3378
45.5=3432
46.0=3500

Most groups from 41.5-46.0 hovered at 1 MOA. 46.0 was exceptional = 0.220".

RL-17 never showed pressure. Even at 46.0gr.
I'm probably going to get it back down to 3,400fps.

Use at your own risk.

Those are awesome results. I have a ton of 243 brass and I haven't even started to reload them yet. RL17 is one of my favorite powders. I have been getting 50 to 100 fps faster with no pressure signs.

That last group with 46.0 gr. is awesome.

has to be a match chamber and very long barrel to reach those velocities

Nope. Stock A-Bolt- 22"

And 50 fps slow.

46.0 is 1/2 over max. Barnes says I should have hit 3,470 fps with 45.5. A review of others testing this same combo (24hrcampfire, snipershide) says I am slow also.

Like I said, I never hit pressure- primers, case head, and bolt lift were cool. Speed is telling me to back down- nothing else.
