I have a T/C Encore .243 that's stainless with a black sythetic stock. The frame is brand new and never fired as I just got it a few weeks back. The barrel has had less than 2 boxes through it. I'm contemplating selling and / or trading it in for a bolt action .243. Not totally sure yet but want to do some looking anyway. The 2 that interest me are the Tikka T3 Lite and the Savage Stevens model 200 and possibly the Remington 700 SPS. Any thoughts or opinions on these or anything else?

I have been looking at the Tikka's quite a bit here lately. I really love the feel of them and the bolt is smooth as glass. I think that will probably be my next gun. BTW let me know if you decide to sell that new frame, i have my Encore collection but want to start one for my son.

Just came back from Bass Pro and handled the Tikka. It fits me well and your right about the bolt. I'll let you know if I decide to go that route and get rid of the encore. Would you want the barrel too or just the frame?

Ive got an older savage 110 (before accutrigger) and it will put any bullet you feed it in the same hole, from 55gr bt's on up to 100gr btsp (awesome round) I didnt even touch my 7mag last year...

got the same gun!! man it aint pretty but boy can it group bullets.

i got a new 270 last year and have yet to take it out just love hunting with the ol 243...well i have had it for 15 years so comfort is a factor as well.

The Tikka T3 is a good value. My only gripe is the very cheap and hollow stock on the Lite version. It is complete junk. Other than that, it's one heck of a shooter. I got my T3 for $379. That's hard to beat.

Let me just say. Well ya know. Ya ever notice how it sounds like a machine gun?

I would be interested in the stainless frame if you want to sell the frame and barrel seperate.

I vote for the Tikka!
