I am gonna try to put some 243 loads together. I'll be pushing 100 grain Gamekings. I looked for 4350 but couldn't find any in stock. One of my manuals says IMR4895 will work. I already have some of that for my 308. I'm just curious if any of y'all have tried using the 4895 for a 243. If so, what experiences do y'all have? Is it worth even messing with or do I just need to wait until I can find a more suitable powder?

Just an opinion here but that seems too fast-burn rate is faster than RL15. Yes, for sure it beats nothing but there are a ton of options.

You have any RL19?? How about IMR7828? Knox is a big place, nothing there at all?

Anyone in Knoxville area help you out?

My best recipe...

Honestly, I'm just getting into reloading. The only stuff I have right now is for 308. BLC2 and IMR4895 are the two powders I have. I haven't seen much reloading stuff around here. Most of what I've found was down outside of Cleveland. I just don't have the time right now to make that trip. Most of what I'm seeing online is also sold out and the same can be said for what's in stores locally... at least the ones I've been to.

Have you searched for all 3 of the "4350" powders? IMR, H4350, and AA4350? Sportsmans Warehouse usually has a bottle of AA4350, or they did pre election scare. Anyway, I use AA4350 in my daughter's Rem Mod 770 .243 and Nosler 100 gr partitions to achieve MOA at 100 yds for her. She's killed a spike with the handloads so far, and it did a flip and laid down right there, heart shot.

I did a general search of "4350" across all the websites that I know about, which isn't many. Everything is sold out. I honestly didn't even think to look at what powder I would need for 243 when I was down at bentons last weekend.

Years ago I used IMR 4895 for my 243. I think the charge weight was 35 grains in a Lee Loader with a dipper. I was shooting 105 gr round nose bullets back then. That would have been 40+ years ago. It worked and worked well since I took 4 deer with that combination. I still have that loader some where in the house. But don't take my word for it, check the load tables to be sure.

Midsouth shooter supply in Clarksville had some h4350 last week. I bought 4lbs. They show they have 4831 in stock, would try that if I was unable to find 4350.

I use 4895 for 308 and 223, I would not suggest it for 243.

I've got a pound of RL19, or H4350 I can let go of. I'm just east of Knox, in Grainger county. I've also got a bunch of 243 brass and bullets (like 1000+) if you are interested. You can PM me if interested.
