I just started loading 243 and I have some Nosler 95gr ballistic tips. I'd like to hear some good bullet/powder combinations from those that load 243. Thanks.
 
Just about anything from IMR 4350 to H1000 can and will work..

I shoot a max load of H4350 at 3200 fps from a 28 inch bbl

My 243 (savage 110) likes imr 4064 and Sierra 85gr bthp as good as anything I've tried. I've had good success with 90gr accubonds but they aren't as tight as the sierras.

Thanks guys! I just started so I have some Hodgdon Varget and Benchmark. Varget is in most of the manuals with lighter bullets but I can't find much about the Benchmark. I've definitely got to get some IMR and Alliant powder. And BTW I'm loading for a Tikka T3 Hunter.

4064 and the 70 to 85 grn bullets is very accurate in ever 243 and 6Rem I ever shot...

I'm using 38.0 gr of AA4350 under 100 gr NPT's. Shoots MOA at 100 yds. I haven't had the opportunity to try anything else yet tho. My daughter killed her first buck with it two season's ago, dropped where it stood. They do perform well IMO.
 
My 243 is a 1985 Remington 700 ADL. Just went and checked round count...pushing 2200. This gun has killed a lot of deer and piggies.

For the 100/105 gr 243 bullets IMR7828 is the way to go and SSC or regular cut have same results.

I cannot get the 85 gr Accubonds to group and gave up some time ago. I am back to 100 gr Partitions and 7828.

For the 95 grain family (when 100 and 105's were gone from the universe):

I've had good luck with H4350 and 95-100 grain bullets in the .243. Velocity hasn't been quite as fast as some other powders but accuracy is there without much trouble finding it.
 
IMR4831 and 85 grain Sierra BTHP's. Best combo I have found in several different 243's.
 
.243 is one of my all time favorite rounds. I've shot zero's with mine using NoZ BT's and IMR 4350. ("zeros" are group sizes that start with a 0, as in .093" center to center @ 100 yards.)

Having said that, .243 is a barrel burner. If you'll stick to strictly loading single based powders rather than double based powders, you'll get far more barrel life. If you'll stick to single based powders and polish the throat of the bore with JB Bore Cleaner every 100 rounds you'll get considerably longer bore life.
