.243 is one of my all time favorite rounds. I've shot zero's with mine using NoZ BT's and IMR 4350. ("zeros" are group sizes that start with a 0, as in .093" center to center @ 100 yards.)
Having said that, .243 is a barrel burner. If you'll stick to strictly loading single based powders rather than double based powders, you'll get far more barrel life. If you'll stick to single based powders and polish the throat of the bore with JB Bore Cleaner every 100 rounds you'll get considerably longer bore life.
