don't go with the s&w, i have one and wish i still had my ruger.SW just can't compare.

i have a browning buckmark camper camo 5.5 bull barrel and absolutely love it. im 22 got it new when i was 15 or 16, and prob have put 10000+ rounds through it mostly wally world federal bulk pack. its very accurate for what it is, and seldom gives any fits. dont think you would be dissapointed with one. that being said... i really like the look of the walther p22s with the laser. nice looking gun imo.
 
Looked at P22, Walther, and Browning. Haven't looked at the Ruger or Sig.

Gunshow the weekend, I will fondle them more and decide. I will look for the Single Six also.

Gunshop had 22A for 249. Wasn;t camo but good price...
 
Never ask a question about which is the best make in firearms if you ever expect to get a short answer. Everyone has their favorite. Mine is my Ruger Single-Six and Mark III, but I don't think you can go wrong with most major brands.
 
Look into the "High Standard ", you can find them in Gunbroker ,or around the pawn shop in your area, there is a model call Duramatic that you can get around $200 try to get the ones with the 6 3/4 inch barrel.

I own a Walther, have owned the S&W and have a buddy that has several Brownings and the Sig that I have shot. That said, I like them all. The Browning had better accuracy than any. The sig and walther and S&W are about the same. Size for your hand and just general appeal will weed them out. I liked that digital camo on the S&W (mine was black) until I held it at a gun show back in the summer and it turned me off. Too plasticy/ chip off feeling for me. Love the gun. Hate the feel in that color.
