been debating these guns it seems as though the 250 shoots flatter and faster . going to try some coyotes after deer season. Also rossi makes a single shot in either caliber for 199$ the cheapest I found what do you guys think any advice would be appreciated.

I use a .223 with a 70gr Barnes TSX on occasiion and it does good on deer, the only problem is the lack of a blood trail, no exit on a broadside shot. The .223 is cheaper and the 250 shoots flatter, unless you shoot over 250yds on a regular basis you wont see much difference.

If you are going to get a single shot I would go with the NEF. About the same money and better trigger. The 223 would be my bet. Cheaper also than the 22-250. I have three NEF rifles and love tham all.

the 22-250 is the ultimate "if-you-see-it-you-can-shoot-it" varmint round. i was very disappointed to see the 22 centerfires legalized for deer.
