I've been shooting competitive trap and sporting clays for 25 years, most of them with a Beretta. Having been around and seen some things, I can assure you that that 1100's and 11-87s will let you down, especially when you shoot the quantity of shells that a serious clay shooter shoots. For your average hunter that may shoot 100 to 200 shells a year, the Remington would be fine. Of course for the price difference, (very little) why not get the better gun?
