I have an old Knight lk93 that I only paid $50. Im wanting to convert to 209 primers but I dont really want more in the conversion than the entire rifle. Should I buy the entire conversion kit for $75 plus shipping and tax or can I go with the cheaper nipple conversion?
 
I was going to just buy a new breech plug since we messed up one that got stuck. Looked at the cost of new plug, new nipple and new hex multi tool (my old one was a slot type)and the cost was just a few $ more to do the 209 conversion kit swap. Mine is a MK85 so I had to order a straight capper that cost me about $8 more I was not expecting. The LK like the MK may take this type capper and if you order direct from Knight they will exchange the one in the kit with the right one if you tell them. Sitting here now waiting on UPS man to deliver it....says out for delivery on their site.
 
Thats exactly what I shoot (pyrodex and cci). I bought them gun last year and it misfired a few times. I changed to Knight Red Hot Nipple and this year it still misfired a few times.
 
After playing find the package with UPS for 3 days I finally got my 209 conversion kit. Did the swap and WOW...no pop boom...Just one extra loud BOOM. Using 777 pellets (1-60 1-30) and that 209 lit them up instant. Didn't even have to adjust scope but 3 clicks down.
