Daughter been aggravating me about me letting deer pass ....said she wanted some deer meat . Told her where I've been hunting I'll only shoot a good buck but if by chance I hunt at my down low stand I'd try to get one . Today wind was good for that stand and it's just a short walk so left the four-wheeler in the truck . At that stand I can just about drive to a deer if I kill one . Today brown is down ... good morning and about 8:30 glanced to my right and see a deer at about 60 - 75 yards . It's about 10 yards from where my scent is going so I scope it and blast away . Didn't really know it was a buck but it didn't matter today .....didn't eat another tag this year . Haters are going to hate but I'm tickled for him and thank the Lord got my daughter some venison. That's the entry hole ....the 7 mm mag done a number on him ...he ran about 30 yards .

Holy cow…. That was one tough buck…. 30 yards with a garage door size hole in him. He was dead before he decided to move and didn't know it.

2 in the canoe! December had been rough. I covered a lot of ground trying to find some deer. Went to somewhere I don't think anyone had hunted this season and was able to capitalize. All praise and glory goes to God!

Wow congrats! That looks like a great day. Clearly finding some relatively untouched areas (if you can) and hunting them right pays off. Now I think I need a boat..
